Review Types

  1. Initial Review: Protocols that were not previously approved by the UST-CRS-ERC.
  2. Post-approval Review: Protocol that were previously approved by the UST-CRS-ERC. May include request for amendment, report for deviation or violation, reportable negative events, SAE, SUSAR or UAE, continuing review, early termination or final report.

UST-CRS-ERC will only accept review application submission every Monday 8:00 AM-12:00 NN. Release of decision letters are every Monday and Tuesday. Please be guided that committee does not process applications nor release letters during holidays.

Review Process

Each submission will be screened by the Secretariat fo to determine whether the protocol is in line with the scope of the committee. If deemed aligned with the committee’s scope, the Chairman will assign at least three (3) members (2 scientific and technical experts, and 1 lay person) as primary reviewers for the protocol. Protocol may be assigned for full board review, expedited review or for exemption based on the standard operating procedures of the committee. Maximum review time per submission is six (6) weeks.
